We Reach Down Under to Bring
Fine Wines from Australia
to S.W. Michigan

ustralia is not only Down Under (the Equator) from southwestern Michigan, but the country's prime wine regions are in the southern, cooler environs of Australia. O.K. Distrib- utors is pleased to work with the following wineries to bring top-notch wines from Down Under to south-
western Michigan.

Angove’s Pty. Ltd.
The Angove family company, Angove Pty, Ltd., is one of Australia’s largest privately owned wine companies and stands as one of the few with strong interests in distilling as well as grape growing and winemaking. The origins of Angove’s as a company have more to do with satisfying a way of life rather than a determination to establish a wine and brandy producing business. Dr. William Angove, an accomplished general practitioner and surgeon, with his wife and young family, emigrated from Cornwall in 1886 to establish a medical practice in South Australia.

Black Opal Wines
A gem that shines amongst the vast field of other Australian wines due to its defying quality and appearance. A remarkably friendly and fruit-forward wine, Black Opal creates an impression of intrigue and sophistication at every occasion where is served.

Greg Norman Australia Estates
Fine wine is one of my great passions, and Australian wine in particular. This passion and curiosity led me to launch Greg Norman Estates, a collection of wines from my native Australia. From the beginning, I have been committed to the promise that every bottle of my wine delivers exceptional quality and value. And gratefully, the wine press agrees. My wines have consistently been awarded high ratings and critical acclaim.

Lindemans Wine
From those humble first plantings in his Cawarra vineyard, Dr. Lindemans indeed has brought pleasure to everyone making Lindemans the number one Australian wine brand in the world. As he said at the outset, ‘the one purpose of wine is to bring happiness …’.

Little Penguin Wine
Like the charming and approachable seabird on the label, the Little Penguin wines are appropriate for any occasion. From a party with the whole colony, to a quiet night in the burrow, the Little Penguin enjoys nothing more than socializing and foraging for delicacies. Consider yourself to do the same with these delightful southeastern Australian wines.

Penfolds Wines
Penfolds has been producing remarkable wines for more than 160 years and indisputably leads the development of Australian fine wine in the modern era. The introduction of Penfolds George Hermitage in 1951 forever changed the landscape of Australian fine wine, since then a series of standout wines – both red and white – have been released under the Penfolds masthead.

Wolf Blass Wines
Under the guidance of Chief Winemaker Chris Hatcher, the steady hand of veteran John Glaetzer and the contemporary influences of Wendy Stuckey, Caroline Dunn and Kirsten Glaetzer, the award total for Wolf Blass now stands at over 3,000 awards at international and Australian wine shows and includes an unprecedented fourth Jimmy Watson Trophy for the 1998 Black Label at the 1999 Royal Melbourne Wine Show.

[yellowtail] Wine
It all began way back in the 1820s when the fist Casellas began crafting wine in Italy. Over a century later, in 1951, Filippo Casella and his wife Maria decided to leave their homeland to pursue their hopes and dreams of a better life in Australia. Recognizing the potential of his new surround- ings, Filippo purchased a farm in the small town of Yenda, New South Wales, and did what came naturally. He began selling grapes to local wineries, and by 1969 decided it was time to put his own winemaking skills to use… and the Casella winery was born.
